Have you ever had that feeling where everything you wear just doesn’t feel right, even if it’s your size and fits? Usually, when we start to complain that we have nothing to wear, we do — what we really meant to say is I don’t feel comfortable in my clothes. The peak time for this feeling is post-partum. Body changes come with each child and as our style and preferences evolve our clothes starts to feel different, even new clothes. Since I’ve been there and I’m sure I’ll experience this feeling at some other point in my life, I wanted to share a few things that we can do when we don’t feel comfortable in our clothes so we can feel good.

One of the things I’m guilty of is wearing outfits that I love on repeat and buying the same thing in different colors because it makes me feel happy. I might be dating myself a bit but I remember how good off shoulder shirts felt when I was 7 so when they became trendy again, they became my go-to feel-good style when it’s warm. I’ve never tried on an off shoulder dress that didn’t make me feel good and this one PinkBlush sent me is perfect because it’s made of a slinky material that is flowy and airy — perfect for the summer. Determine what your style is.

Our style changes as our lifestyle changes. After having kids I started to dress differently so I could feel more comfortable picking up my babies, nursing, and running around after them. Switching to a style that feels good for you is important when I tried to dress like the other moms on the playground I felt really uncomfortable in my clothing because it wasn’t who I was.

    Make comfort a priority.

When you’re comfortable everything falls in place! Sometimes we’re uncomfortable because we tried to dress too comfortable and feel frumpy and other times we feel uncomfortable because of the cut of our clothes. Making comfort a priority meant getting rid of pants that we’re high rise for me

I Don't Feel comfortable in My Clothes? Here are some tips

    Embrace your body.

I know this is much easier said than done. The truth is when we don’t embrace our body we feel uncomfortable in our skin and our clothes are an extension of that. I’m not saying this in a preachy way because I still have my days when I struggle with body image but I try to work through those feelings as soon as they pop into my head. I challenge myself to take note of three reasons I’m grateful for my body as it is right now.

  • How I found the Perfect Jumpsuit for My Post-Baby Body

It is FINALLY spring here in New York City! After putting myself on a shopping freeze for the first three months of the year, I was happy to finally buy myself something new at the end of March when I headed out to California. I’ve gained 10 pounds since last year, and some of the clothes that I loved wearing in the past don’t fit my body as well they used to. I’m still learning how to dress for my size. Regardless of if the number on the scale is up or down, I want to look and feel my best. Instead of guessing if something would look great on me and buying it online as I used to do, I’ve been going into the stores to try everything on to see if they work for me. I was walking by Express minding my business the day before I left for California, I was actually on my way to another store when I spotted the perfect jumpsuit for my post-baby body and decided to go into the store and try it on. It fit my body so perfectly that I decided to get it. I love the quality of it and especially the cut.

    Jumpsuit for My Post-Baby Body

Express used to be one of my favorite places to shop, and I’m not sure when or why I stopped. I’m 5’7,” and the length of this jumpsuit was perfect for me. I usually have an issue with jumpsuits having a short torso, but that wasn’t an issue with this one. I think the wrap style works well to remove the attention from my midsection area that I’m subconscious of and unlike a lot of other jumpsuits I’ve tried on, this one isn’t cut too low along the neckline so I can still wear a strapless bra which I totally NEED to wear.

Anyway, I’m excited to hunt for more jumpsuits, and mom bod friendly clothes this spring/summer and I will be sure to share all of my finds with you.

Are you a fan of jumpsuits? Let me know what style you’re rocking this spring?

  • Stylish Diapers Bags you can Rock With or Without your Baby

This stylish diaper bags post contains affiliate links and products mentioned were provided for review. As always all opinions shared are my own.

Three kids deep into motherhood, I’ve accepted the fact that 98% of the time I will be using a diaper bag until my youngest is potty trained. At this point though, I’ve been through enough diaper bags to tell you that I’m not using any that are frumpy, clunky, and not stylish. Nope, not doing it! So, I wanted to share a few stylish diaper bags that are perfect for the modern mama, basically not your aunty’s diaper bag from when you were a kid.

    Jujubee Everyday Tote

The Jujubee Everyday Tote is currently one of my favorite diaper bags. Firstly, it doesn’t look anything like a diaper bag and is well-designed and functional which is really important to me. Wearing this bag is very comfortable even when it’s full because the straps are reinforced and sit well on my shoulders which is important when you’re holding a baby in the other arm. The classic style works perfectly for my personal style and lifestyle. Honestly, even if your kids are out of diapers or you don’t have children but need a tote with enough compartments to keep your life organized this is the bag. I can find my phone and sunglasses easily, as well as pack everything the kids will need while we’re out and about. The hardware on my Jujubee Everyday Tote is rose gold which is a lovely detail. I absolutely love this bag in grey and plum colors too.

The Jujubee Everyday Tote is perfect for working moms IMO you can take on babysitter/daycare drop-off without holding an extra bag. This would have been perfect for me when I worked at a corporate job.

    Jujubee B.F.F.

The Jujubee B.F.F. is sleek! It’s an easy and comfortable bag to wear since it can be worn as a backpack and messenger bag . It was thoughtfully designed for, us modern mamas with smart compartments like a mommy pocket to keep keys, phone, etc within reach. Again, just like the Jujubee Everyday Tote, it’s functional, there is enough space to organize my entire life in this bag. It’s also easy to clean and I always feel comfortable wearing it. I have another diaper bag that’s also stylish but so bulky, I love that the B.F.F. is sleek and easy to wear.

    JuJuBe Be Right Back Backpack

I’m looking forward to traveling with my family again this year however, I need to simplify my packing. I think the JuJuBe Be Right BackBackpack will be perfect for quick getaways and day trips. I can fit everything easily and it’s such a comfortable and lightweight bag I wouldn’t have to worry about discomfort on my shoulders if I have to wear it for a long time period. If your style is sporty or edgy this bag would be perfect for you.

Which of these three stylish diaper bags is your favorite?
