I have a confession, I cannot walk pass or even scroll pass cobalt blue and sequins. I love them both, maybe unequally because I like sequins a little bit more. They’re both attention grabbing but surprisingly when worn together they don’t do too much. They manage to balance each other out really well.

It’s one of those pieces that I’m glad to have as part of my collection because it’s timeless, beautiful and well made. I don’t think I’ll ever get too old to wear this top. I’ll probably have it when I have grand kids and they’ll probably snicker at their grandma in sequins and red lips.

These shorts are also from Express, they are very comfortable and I love the length. To me, one of the biggest annoyances is a pair of shorts that fits poorly. I can’t wear shorts that are tight, too short or low rise, so whenever I find brands that makes shorts that fits my body well I tend to stick with them. Currently, my favorite places to purchase shorts are Express, Club Monaco, The Gap and Banana Republic. If you have a familiar build to me, I’ll recommend those stores.
