Tieks Review 2026: Are These Foldable Ballet Flats Worth The Hype?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, I’m sure you’ve seen Tieks foldable ballet flats around. You know the ballet flats with the turquoise sole that you can’t miss. I’ve always thought they were super chic but wasn’t sure if they were worth the hype. Anyway, I’ve been wearing this gold metallic pair for a few months now and I wanted to share my experience and if they’re worth the hype.
So first things first, these are the perfect city flats. This is a great commuting shoes that looks great while you’re zipping around the city, running up and down subway stairs that you can dress up or down whether you’re heading to work, girls night out or towing your kids around.

Let’s talk about what you’re really paying for, the quality of these flats. The older I get, the more important quality is to me because I’m focused on building a wardrobe with pieces that will last me a long time. Tieks ballet flats are 100% Italian leather.
Are Tieks Comfortable?
In terms of fit, I have to be honest I needed to break them in just a bit particularly at the top (I do have wide feet). I would recommend that you don’t wear them for an extended period for your first few wears, I wore them all day the first day, not my best idea. That said, they did immaculately mold to my feet after a short wears running errands and now they’re one of my most comfortable pairs of shoes and I can wear them for long periods of time without any issue.
So, are Tieks worth the money and the hype?
These ballet flats cost anywhere between $150 and $300 so they are an investment but based on the exquisite quality, design and convenience I’d say yes, they’re worth the price. This is the type of shoe you would get your return on investment on because you will be wearing them to PTA meetings, birthday parties, brunch etc. It’s the shoe you don’t have to think about that works with any outfit and with the right care will last a long time. I’m looking forward to adding more Tieks ballet flats to my wardrobe and will definitely share when I do. If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I love a pop of color and I have my eyes on some of their vibrant colors.
