Yesterday, I attended the Simply Stylist fashion and beauty conference, here in New York City. It’s always fun to attend these events and chit chat with all the fashionable ladies and soak up the energy of passion. There were also some cool brands in attendance like ShopStyle and Dove.
Super cool celebrity stylist and mom in heels, June Ambrose was there along with some accomplished women in the spaces of fashion and social media. I learned a lot and it was nice to run into some friends and make some new ones. I wanted to share my outfit of the day since I got ready really early and my mom was nice enough to snap these photos of me. Thank you, mommy!

The weather was projected to be nice but it was sending mixed messages with rain and cool wind earlier in the day so I settled on this long gray sweater. It’s one of my favorite fall pieces and I’ve been dying to wear it. I love its simple yet modern design and how comfortable it feels against my skin. Although it’s a thin sweater it’s very warm which is completely necessary for me since I am always cold.
I have tons of fun ideas of how I plan to rock this sweater including with leather pants or with a pencil skirt. I went with black skinny jeans also from Zara and these Forever 21 boots that I shared on my Facebook page last week. This was my second time wearing these boots. They’re genuine leather and was a bit uncomfortable when I wore them first but yesterday they were super comfortable. I’m really happy about that since I love these shoes and I did lots of standing at the conference.
My necklace is also from Zara and my wide-brim wool hat which I received tons of compliments about is by Forever 21.
I’ve been wearing NYX Buttergloss in Merengue lately and I love it. It’s a seriously a game changer for a busy mama like me.
