    NY Giants: Sporty Chic Look

    Mr. Rattles and I have totally been taking advantage of the kids spending time with my mom these last few weekends. This was the third weekend in a row that we were able to head off on a date, a huge deal since our weekend dates usually mean all four of us. I chose a restaurant that I wanted to check out for brunch last weekend so this weekend was his turn.  Since the NY Giants game was going to be on and he didn’t want to miss the game or our date, he decided to combine the two and head to one of his favorite spots in Brooklyn.  I was game (pun intended) especially since I’ve been looking for the perfect opportunity to pull off a sporty chic look wearing my new NY Giants sweater from NFLShop.com.

    With so many fabulous options at  NFLShop.com for women, I had a bit of a hard time deciding on a sweater to represent our favorite hometown team the NY Giants. After going back and forth with my besties for their pick, I chose this  pull-over style sweater because it has a bit of a dressy feel and I could glam it up or wear it with jeans and a pair of sneakers.

    Of course, I chose to glam it up for our date since I like to look nice whenever I step out with my guy. I decided to pair it with this extremely warm midi leather skirt and add some personality with my favorite pair of leopard heels. The NY Giants colors are blue, white and red so I added a red accent with my bag.

    I got lots of compliments on my sweater and one woman even came over just to ask me where I was able to find such cute fan wear. Besides the fact that this sweater is quite fabulous, it’s very warm and perfect for NYC weather. The weather this weekend wasn’t bad but I know that I can wear it on a cold day with no worries.

    If you’re anything like me, you’ve moved away from the country or state where you were born and raised. Maybe your friends moved away too and maybe all of that distance hasn’t really changed your relationship. Most of my good girlfriends now live far away and they are busy with their own careers and families. We get on the phone ever so often and catch up during marathon conversations and feel so connected that we always remind each other that time and distance can’t affect our bond. One of my good friends, in particular, and I haven’t seen each other in close to 4 years.  I’m very excited because she will be visiting New York City for the holidays. She’s finally going to meet The Super Knight and she will get see how big The Princess Fairy has gotten. She’s such a beautiful person that I wanted to get her a lovely gift. I considered different gift ideas but ended up settling on fragrance. I’ve always felt like fragrance is cliché gift, but the popularity of fragrance as a gift doesn’t make it a bad gift. Scents are connecting, they connect us to others and if it’s the right one, it can even help you connect to yourself. As long distance friends maintaining our connection with each other is important.

    She’s a big Beyoncé fan so I got her the new Beyoncé Rise Gift Set.  With the year ending and her expressing that she has some big goals on the agenda for 2016, I felt like the name Rise was perfect. Since I can’t be at her side to cheer her on all of the time, I am excited that whenever she uses her gift set the fragrance will remind her of me and my support of her rise to meet her goals. I know she’s going to love the packaging and the gorgeous perfume spray bottle.

    A Weekend in the 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited

    Calling all sedan loving moms! The 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited is built for you, my dear friends. We test drove this car for one (stylish) weekend last month and I must share why it’s a wonderful car for families. But first, can we admire the beauty of this car. Yep, it’s perfection and I dig that Pewter Grey Metallic color!

    I picked up my ever optimistic Kindergartener from school and she requested a trip to the ice cream parlor, a request her 2-year-old brother seconded as a good idea. I’m not great at saying no to those cuties so we made our way to one of our favorite ice cream spots.  The kids loved the extremely smooth ride there in this ride, I can be a bit extra, but it’s true — this is one of the smoothest rides in a car.

    Seriously, I’ve never experienced anything like this. The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is so quiet that a few times I double checked if the car was indeed on. Driving even got a bit lonely at times 🙂

    These days, the family member with the most active social life is The Princess Fairy with sometimes up to two events on one Saturday. She’s a busy gal and I’m a busy mom! I’m glad that with all the errands that I needed to run and getting her around on time, I was able to do so in style and comfort in the Sonata Hybrid Limited.

    By now, you know that we’re all about the good features and our favorites for this car were the panoramic sunroof, huge trunk, speakers and all of the luxurious space. We LOVED all the space! We’re tall folks so space is the ultimate luxury for us. This car is also excellent on gas! You will definitely save money driving this fancy-looking car.
